On May 30th CHS held its annual band banquet, Kelsey and friends all had lots of fun.

Landry's Last Day of School and Field Day YAY! Hello Summer!

Today was such a fun day for Landry, it was his last day of 5th grade! YAY! We are so thankful to have found a school that teaches how he learns!!  Being dyslexic in a public school district of overachievers is so hard....but luckily we found Fairhill! He is now a 6th grader! So proud of him.  Today was also field day and here are some photos from today...

Our Baby Girl is now 16

Well I can not believe she is 16, but she is and I couldn't be more proud of her.  She is an awesome kindhearted teenager who is crazy about her friends.  Speaking of friends, Kelsey was surprised by her friends with a birthday morning breakfast trip to iHop.  I believe they all had a great time.  Sweet and thoughtful girls.  So happy Kelsey is apart of this group.  This is going to be a great year ahead I just know it.

WOW it has been a few years since I have posted....

so this is a test post to see if I still can do this :) I am old and rusty so bear with me ...
Kelsey just traveled to San Antonio for her Spring Band Trip and these are some photos she took.  They had a competition on the first morning there then it was off to the Alamo, Mission, and the River Walk for dinner and fun.  Saturday morning they went to Fiesta Texas and received many awards from the day prior so that was a bonus along with all the fun rides.  Sunday they went to Sea World before heading home.  It was a successful trip.  Ok I will try to get back at this from time to time and hopefully someone will stop by the blog and say hi :)

Its the night before school starts.....

And so it starts another school year tomorrow... where did the summer go?  Kelsey off to high school and Landry off the 4th grade.  Very excited to see how every one's first day of school goes.  Look for a photo and update if not tomorrow then this week sometime :).

What have we been doing since December???

In January I got to go to LA with my friends Susan and Amanda ..... FUN!!!  We got to go a taping of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (even though I am a die hard Letterman fan ;) ) and Gerard Butler was one of the guests ...yeah!  We got a picture with him.  We went to the People's Choice Awards too... Fun!

Kelsey went to AKon with her friends this year and had a blast!  For those unaware that is Anime Convention and the largest on of its kind is held in Dallas.  This was from the second day they went and they cosplayed characters from "Homestuck" an online comic they all love.  Kelsey is in blue and she was Tom and she is a human unlike some of the characters they are trolls from outer space but all go to school together...something like that.

Kelsey turned 14 this year!!  Time goes too fast!  She had friends over and they made a movie you may have heard of it, its a YouTube sensation...ha!  17 Car Crashes and an Explosion or is it 17 Explosions and a Car Crash?  Check it out if you can find it....

For some strange reason this is the only picture of my Landry I can get to upload---I will investigate the situation but he is working hard on his drum lessons (when I can get him to get off the computer, or off the TV, or off his games....you get the picture.

Easter we went to Houston to visit Grandma and we found this comic book store that had lots of cool things...LOTS of STAR WARS stuff- totally cool.

Last band concert at Clark Middle School... Kelsey and Alice proudly show of their pins of their instruments...Way to go girls!  (this summer they have been working so hard at band camp and both made the marching band.  They will take the field each football half time- YEAH!)

One last picture from AKon this was a photo shoot for Soul Eater and these just happen to be the "bad" guys.  Kelsey is on the far end in the polka dot dress.  I am so proud of her she made the dress and the hat...she has got some sewing skills and is self taught from watching YouTube videos ...

OK I will try to take more pictures and post more.  My friend Lynn has started back updating her blog and I thought for sure she would offer to do mine but sadly enough she did not volunteer.

Merry Christmas 2011

Well this is a look of a satisfied little 8 year old....he looks like he had a great Christmas, right? I think he did. He loved everything he received :)....lots of Legos and Nerf his favorite things and plenty of Star Wars to take him on a Jedi trip :).

She was equally happy with her Christmas treasures .... she loves The Hunger Games book series and with the movie coming out she got lots of tie ins. Plus anime/manga things which she loves.

Something cute to hold her cell phone or ipod....

He will have lots of fun with this......me I am not so sure I will have fun finding the Nerf disks all around but he is only little once, right so go for it Landry.

Merry Christmas from all of us to all of you! I am saying prayers and thinking of those no longer with us. It was a difficult holiday for me...the first with out parents. Hard to believe my mom has been gone 12 years and now my dad. We missed Sadie this Christmas too. Time heals and memories stay so we will hang on to those wonderful memories we have. Hoping that 2012 brings great things to all and fun and health!

Halloween 2011

Happy Halloween!!!

We had a lot of fun this year. The weather was great to go out and about. We had a Lego Man and a dead girl.... dead girl went to a party, that's what happens when you are 13 and a teen. Lego Man had fun going door to door with his friends. Dave worked really hard on the Lego costume--- way to go Dave! Hope everyone had lots of candy!

First Day of School 2011-2012

Magic Kingdom

We had the best time at The Magic Kingdom...it is magical :). Last time we were at Disney World Space Mountain was closed for maintenance and were not able to ride it :( BUT this time we did ride it and the kids loved it. Fun Stuff! We rode some other rides we have never ridden before and enjoyed them all. It was warm but nothing like the weather in Texas at the same time so we enjoyed ourselves plus did not have to wait in to long of lines.

Later that evening we went to Downtown Disney and had dinner at Wolf Gang Puck's and it was pretty yummy...plus we spent sometime at the Lego store of coarse (even though it has the same stuff we have here at the Lego Store still Landry could not pass it up). The next day we went back to Epcot to ride Test Track again and some other rides and to tour the lands again.... fun stuff! Until next time....
